OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Firefighter/ Paramedic John Geraci is shown shoveling a hydrant in the city of Oswego on Tuesday morning.
There are well over 900 hydrants in the city of Oswego and firefighters have been cleaning them out with the assistance of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department weekend work program.
“The efforts of many residents who take the extra time to clear out their neighborhood hydrant is much appreciated,” said Jeff McCrobie, fire chief. “Any residents who observe a hydrant in need of shoveling may call the Oswego Fire Department at 343-2161.”
