The New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance presented Oswego County BOCES teacher Kelly Schulz with the 2013 Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year Award.
Schulz was chosen for the award for her commitment to not only her students, but to quality adapted physical education.

The recognition is also evidence of her leadership, reputation for exemplary work, and dedication to professional excellence.
Schulz is a physical education teacher at Fourth Street School, and has been working for Oswego County BOCEs for the last 20 years.
This award is the fourth prestigious recognition bestowed upon Schulz by the NYSAHPERD. In 2011, Schulz was named the Aquatics Teacher of the Year for the Central North Zone.
Award recipients will be honored at the Jay B. Nash Awards Dinner at the NYSAHPERD annual conference on Friday, Nov. 22 at Turning Stone Convention Center.
