Kreative Kids classes began Monday, July 6, at the Civic Arts Center, across from Fort Ontario. Kreative Kids is a month long children’s summer program that focuses only on the arts.
Students began at 9 am and were fully engaged in Pottery, Painting and Collage, Imagination Express, African Dance and Improvisational Theater within minutes. KK’s excellent teaching staff had their student’s full attention and huge smiles all morning.
Kerry Babcock, age 13, said of her African dance class, ” I always wanted to be in a dance class. I am really happy with this class because it is really fun.” Amanda Nettles, age 6, said “I like both classes I picked. I am taking imagination and dancing…I like to shimmy in dance class.”
This program is made possible with funds from New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Grant Program, a State Agency and the Cultural Resources Council a regional Arts Council. A complete list of our local sponsors can be found at www.oswegoarts.org
