SPRINGFIELD, MASS – Jessica Lawler, of Mexico, a Biology major, received the Chester S. McGown Award at American International College during the college’s Co-Curricular Awards ceremony this spring.
The Chester S. McGown Award is given to a senior who demonstrates consistency in leadership as provided by Chester S. McGown through his 35-year presidency that spanned a period of enormous change through two World Wars and the intervening Great Depression.
Founded in 1885, American International College is a private, co-educational, master’s institution located in Springfield, Massachusetts.
AIC is an interfaith, interracial, and international educational institution comprising the School of Business, Arts and Sciences, the School of Education, and the School of Health Sciences.
AIC supports and advances education, diversity, and opportunity for its students and the community.
