Legally Blonde Jr Auditions Announced

FULTON – CNY Arts Center announces auditions for the next all youth production.

Legally Blonde Jr. auditions will be held February 1 from 6-9 p.m. and February 4 from 9-11 a.m. at 11 River Glen Drive in Fulton.

The popular story, based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

For auditions, ages 10-18 (enrolled in high school or lower) are encouraged to audition. Those who audition may be asked to read from the script.

They should prepare 16-32 measures of a Broadway song. An accompanist will be provided.

Those who audition should also be prepared to learn a small dance and will also be asked to show off their jump roping skills.

The production will open May 5 and close May 14 at the Arts Center.

Adam Schmidtmann is returning as director for the production with Gina Holsopple as music director and Jessie Dobrzynski as choreographer.

The winning trio presented Seussical Jr. last spring with more than 30 children onstage to sold-out houses and rave reviews.
