OSWEGO COUNTY – Oswego County’s annual Government Day Program is an opportunity for a seventh-grade student to spend the day with their legislator to learn about the operations and services of local government. On May 15, students participated in a mock debate, visited county facilities and attended a full Legislature meeting. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County offers the Government Day program in partnership with the Oswego County Legislature. To mark the occasion, the Legislature’s Government, Courts and Consumer Affairs Committee presented a proclamation to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County.
