Leighton Spellers Advance to Regional

OSWEGO, NY – The students at the Frederick Leighton Elementary School competed for the opportunity to earn a position in this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee regional.
The top three finishers and advancing to the regional competition were Shae Carter (second place), Austin Martin (first) and Lara Kanbur (third).
They were congratulated by coordinator and literacy specialist Amy Armet.
