Library Learning Center Offers New Windows 8 Workshop

The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a new Introduction to Windows 8 workshop on October 25.

This class is free and runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

Topics covered by the instructor include: Windows 8 basics, organizing files and folders, personalizing appearance, and basic maintenance.

No previous experience with computers or Windows OS is necessary.

In addition to our new Windows 8 workshop, the Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will feature Advanced Kindle Fire, E-Reader Petting Zoo, Getting to Know Your IPhone, and Intro to Excel.  Dates and times are as follows:

October 12 – Advanced Kindle Fire 1 – 3 p.m.

October 18 – E-Reader Petting Zoo 10 a.m. – noon

October 19 – Getting to Know Your IPhone 10 a.m. – noon

October 26 – Intro to Excel 1 – 3 p.m.

The Library Learning Center is located on the lower level of the Oswego Public Library and is open Monday-Saturday.

All programs are free and open to the public.
