Magic of Reading Kicks Off Leighton Read-a-thon

OSWEGO, NY – The “Magic of Reading” kicked off the annual Frederick Leighton Elementary School Read-a-Thon recently.

David “The Magician” Moreland psyched up the student body during his high-energy 45-minute show.

The annual event will be conducted from Oct. 1-10 as students are asked to read at least 240 minutes during that time for an average of 24 minutes a day.

Students are receiving pledges from family members to assist the FLS Home & School Association.
