Head Start Pre-K is accepting enrollment applications for the 2015-2016 school year.
In Mexico, Head Start Pre-K offers a home-based option.
This offers a weekly home visit by the teacher and two classroom group experiences per month.
The program’s goal is promoting school readiness through hands – on learning experiences, active play and nutritious snacks.
Head Start looks to partner with families and encourages parental engagement in their child’s education.
Families may apply for enrollment by calling 315-597-4711 to start the application process.
Waiting lists are maintained for openings that may occur throughout the school year.
Head Start Pre-K enrolls three- and four-year-old children and is provided at no cost to families with incomes at or below federally set guidelines.
Head Start is the longest running national school-readiness program in the United States.
In Oswego County, Head Start Pre-K enrolls 239 children at eight centers located throughout the county.
