Working in groups and guided by Matt Chase of The Hovercraft Project, students worked together to piece together a hovercraft designed to carry a student across the gym floor.

Using mathematical and problem-solving skills, each group tested their craft, measured distance traveled and made adjustments.

The groups competed too see whose craft could travel the farthest.
