Minetto Elementary Spellers Advance to Regional

MINETTO, NY – The students at the Minetto Elementary School competed for the opportunity to earn a position in this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee regional.
The top three finishers advancing to the regional competition are (left to right) sixth grader Cody Vincent (second place), fourth graders Thomas May (first) and Andrew Paura (third).
Conducting the qualifying round at Minetto were reading teacher JoAnn Syrell and coordinator and reading teacher Janet Knight.
