Morningstar Salutes Its Veterans

OSWEGO, NY – Proud veterans gathered to reminisce, share their experiences and honor their fellow veterans as Morningstar Residential Care Center hosted a Veterans’ Day Luncheon to recognize its residents that served in the United States Armed Forces.

Residents were treated to a special luncheon featuring prime rib with all the fixings, shrimp cocktail and homemade chocolate cheesecake.

In addition to the luncheon, each veteran received a complementary fleece blanket representing the branch of the military they served in.

“It was our pleasure to recognize our residents that bravely served our country, said recreational therapy director Linda Taylor. “We’re proud of them and happy that we could make Veterans’ Day special for them.”
