Morningstar Salutes its Veterans

OSWEGO, NY – Proud veterans gathered to reminisce, share their experiences and honor their fellow veterans as Morningstar Residential Care Center in Oswego hosted a Veterans’ Day Luncheon to recognize its residents that bravely served their country in the United States Armed Forces.
Residents were treated to a special luncheon featuring prime rib with all the fixings, shrimp cocktail and homemade strawberry cream pie.
In addition to the luncheon each veteran received a complementary hat representing the branch of the military they served in.
“We’re proud of our veterans and are pleased be able to recognize them on Veterans’ Day and thank them for their selfless service to our country,” said Director of Activities Kelsey Rose. “Our luncheon was the highlight of the activities that we held in honor of our veterans which also included a concert by our resident choir.”
