With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, the Granby Elementary School Parent-Teacher Group recently held an evening of fun, food and crafts for mothers and sons.

Laughter and conversation filled the school cafeteria as more than 150 mothers and sons bonded during the annual event.
The turnout was “tremendous” and indicative of parental involvement in their child’s school activities, said PTG co-president Traci Thompson.
“It’s nice to see so many people here,” Thompson said. “We always have a good showing at the different PTG-sponsored events, and the parents have just as much fun as the kids.”
The mothers and sons enjoyed cupcakes and fruit punch while working together to create a flowerpot.
The finished flowerpots were decorated with the words, “Mom, my love blooms for you!”
