OSWEGO, NY – William Shakespeare’s young lovers, Claudio (Thomas Oliverio) and Hero (Marti Flicker), face many a roadblock to matrimony from villainy in SUNY Oswego’s production of the comedy “Much Ado About Nothing.”

It previews at 8 p.m. April 19, in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre and opens at 8 p.m. April 20.
The theatre department’s spring production also runs at 8 p.m. April 21 and 28, and at 2 p.m. April 29.
Gary Izzo, a 1980 theatre alumnus and veteran playwright and producer, will direct the student cast and lead the faculty and student crew for the play, focused on a lovers’ trap in the Italian Renaissance.
