New Classes Start in January at Lakeside Artisans

OSWEGO, NY – During the month of January, Lakeside Artisans, 191 W. First St., is offering a variety of art classes to the public.

Michele Southgate will offer a Watercolor Painting class on January 14, from 2 to 5 p.m.

The class is appropriate for both beginning and experienced watercolorists alike.

A Hand-painted Silk Scarf class, by Cindy Schmidt, will be offered on January 16, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Participants will make their own colorful scarf during this class.

Stained Glass artist Cathy Pence is offering a two-day class making wire-wrapped
pendents and earrings.

The classes will be on January 19 and 26, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

It will be split into two sessions because of the firing time involved in the final
production of the pieces.

Wendy Ballard will offer a chainmaille class in making a Byzantine bracelet on
January 30, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Classes are held in Lakeside Artisans’ classroom at Canal Commons.

A non-refundable $10 deposit is required to register for each class.

There will also be a class fee which includes payment for the supplies used.
