NEW HAVEN – The First Congregational Church UCC of New Haven will observe its 200th anniversary this September, with a number of celebratory events.
The church will commemorate the anniversary with a Harvest Weekend Celebration beginning the evening of September 16.
This event will commence with a meet and greet reception that will feature a re-enactment of the founding of the church and guest speakers discussing the history of the church.
On September 17, the celebration will continue with a celebratory church service featuring guest pastors, special musical performances, and good fellowship.
The celebration will conclude with an afternoon harvest banquet prepared by professional chef and church member Erik Mosher.
Friends and members of the church are invited to attend all of the events.
