REDFIELD – The new owners of Salmon Hills in Redfield recently announced that a grand opening for the newly renovated resort is slated for early fall 2012. The Koch Family (formally of Oswego) of Cut & Shoot, Texas, took ownership of the property this March.
Rick Koch, his wife, Gina, and his sister, Kathy, plan to revitalize the property into a premiere vacation destination.
Renovations are currently under way.
While formally operated as a cross-country ski resort, the new owners will welcome a diversified clientele, catering primarily to snowmobilers, fishermen, water enthusiasts and others wanting to escape to nature.
The revitalized property will feature a cozy resort atmosphere in its spacious 3,600-square-foot, log-style lodge with a bar and restaurant along with eight spacious motel rooms.
The addition of several log-style cabins, a covered pavilion for large gatherings or events, boat, canoe and snowmobile rentals and other activities will be available for those looking for a unique vacation experience in a private peaceful setting.
Salmon Hills is surrounded by many diverse and interesting places to see and things to do; making its central location a perfect home-base vacation getaway.
Those who stay at Salmon Hills can travel short distances to enjoy:
Access to 360 miles of snowmobile trails in the Tug Hill area and beyond
The Salmon River Reservoir for boat launches and water activities
