OSWEGO, NY – Members of the Oswego Fire Department recently took part in a training exercise at the Eastside Fire Station.
Each of the four OFD shifts took part in both classroom and hands-on training in Advanced Vehicle Extrication Training.

Thanks to Scotty’s Towing for assistance in placing the vehicles.
Pictured are firefighters (left to right) Chris Stupp, Ray Abbott and Stan Krawczyk honing their Advanced Vehicle Extrication Techniques by performing a Dash Roll Evolution.
This method is designed to increase the occupant compartment space which provides the firefighters more room for victim removal.
