OFD Spreads the Word About Fire Safety

The Oswego Fire Department has visited Oswego City School District schools this fall with its fire prevention puppet shows to teach youngsters the importance of fire safety.

These shows for many years have entertained as well as educated thousands of youngsters of the dangers of playing with smoking materials.

“These shows as entertaining as they are, provide valuable lessons for children to learn of the dangers involved in playing with matches and lighters, as well as home safety involving working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors,” said Chief Jeff McCrobie.
