The Fairley Elementary School gymnasium transformed into a scene from Colonial America in early March as fourth graders participated in Ole Fashion Day.
After learning about loyalists, patriots, the Revolutionary War and the Colonial era, fourth graders took their classroom studies to the next level.

Wearing bonnets, straw hats, suspenders, flannel and other period attire, students participated in games, activities and put on a square-dancing showcase for their classmates.
The annual event also includes a classroom simulation of a one-room school house, crafts and hands-on activities such as carpentry to teach students some of the tasks artisans were commonly required to do during that time period.
