FULTON – The Fulton Noon Rotary Club recently listened to a program presented by Mariah Johnson, PR Chair for the Oswego Bookmobile. The Bookmobile’s mission is to empower children to be readers. They are a free mobile literacy program for children through grade 12 and provide access to books during the summer months throughout Oswego County.
The Bookmobile is an all-volunteer organization and relies on community support to keep their program going. In 2024 they served over 1,500 kids with over 5,000 books given out. A pancake breakfast is being held on April 6th at the Oswego Elks Club benefiting the organization.
They are expecting a new bus in 2025 and want to expand their area.
Fulton Noon Rotary meets at 12:00 noon on the first three Thursdays of the month at the Tavern on the Lock in Fulton.
