FULTON – Oswego County Workforce New York, operated by the Division of Employment and Training, hosts a Work Incentive Seminar Events workshop from 11 a.m. to noon on October 30 at the Oswego County Office Building, 200 N. Second St. in Fulton, located across the street from Mimi’s Restaurant.

“This workshop is designed to help Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries learn about work incentives, resources, programs and services they are eligible for which will help them return to work successfully,” said Kim Sizemore, Disability Resource Coordinator at Oswego County Workforce New York.

“Many people who are receiving SSDI and SSI are afraid of losing their benefits or medical coverage if they return to work. They may not realize that they can work up to 12 months with no earning limit and keep their SSDI benefits; or that they can earn up to $46,000 annually and still maintain their Medicaid insurance,” she added.

Human services providers, Medicaid service coordinators, and family members who wish to learn more about Social Security Disability rules are also encouraged to attend.

For more information or to register, contact Sizemore at 315-591-9077 or [email protected] or Mary Ferry at 315-591-9026 or [email protected].
