OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Office for the Aging (OFA) partners with Living with Dementia CNY to host a Caregiver Summit for those caring for a loved one living with dementia. The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, at the OFA, 74 Bunner St., Oswego. Registration is required for this free event as space is limited.

“We’re very excited to host our first Caregiver Summit,” said OFA Director Sara Sunday. “We invite anyone caring for a senior who lives with dementia to join us. This is a great opportunity to learn more about available resources, connect with other caregivers, and enjoy a break. Onsite care will be provided, allowing caregivers to fully participate while their loved ones are supported with activities and companionship close by.”

The event features a vision board demonstration; resources and information about caregiving, dementia and memory loss; expert-led sessions on caregiving skills; and more. A light lunch will also be provided.

To reserve a space, call Oswego County OFA Caregiver Coordinator Elizabeth Weimer at 315-349-3570 or email [email protected][1].
