Oswego County Workforce New York finalizing plans for May 7 Employer Forum

FULTON – Oswego County Workforce New York staff have begun final preparations for a panel discussion of local employers at the new Cayuga Community College campus, 11 River Glen Plaza, Fulton from 1 to 4 p.m. May 7.  The event is free and open to the public.

The forum will bring together local job seekers and employers to discuss what current job opportunities are available locally, as well as the qualities employers are looking for from applicants.

“Many of the job seekers we see in our office have questions about how to contact employers and the application process as a whole.  By having local employers share details about what jobs they have available and the best way to apply, we hope the hiring process will become easier for everyone,” said Chad Whelsky, Employment Specialist at the Oswego County Workforce New York office.

Representatives from Huhtamaki, Novelis, The Fulton Companies, Healthway Home Products, Oswego Health, Constellation, Little Luke’s/Rehab Resources, PaperWorks, and Ron Terra Insurance are scheduled to attend.

Information about training opportunities, skills upgrades and other services provided to job seekers through the Oswego County Workforce New York office will also be available.

Job seekers are encouraged to reserve a seat as a large audience is expected.   Advanced reservations can be made by calling the Oswego County Workforce New York office at 315-591-9000.
