Oswego Health staff members, trained to fit bike helmets properly, provided 100 youngsters with an appropriate bike helmet during Fulton’s Bike Rodeo held at the Fulton Community Center.
Properly fitting bike helmets is an initiative of the Oswego Hospital Emergency Department to reduce head injuries. Each year the department fits hundreds of area children with a helmet. The helmets were provided by the Fulton Police Department through a grant funded by the Governors Traffic Safety Commission.
Oswego Healthcare system includes the Oswego Hospital, The Manor at Seneca Hill, a skilled nursing facility; Springside at Seneca Hill, a retirement living community; an urgent care center in Fulton, as well as health services centers in Mexico, Parish and now Phoenix.
