OSWEGO – Oswego High School students received accolades during a recent end-of-the-year award ceremony.

Students received achievement awards for academic success in specific classes and clubs.
Many memorial and business scholarships were distributed to students for exhibiting certain traits, such as the Community Service Recognition Award given to Emily Bradshaw, Grace Bruns, Claudia Chetney, Gillian Clark, Danielle DelConte, Abigail Douglas, Rose Huang, Abby Lagoe, Amanda Lagoe, Cassandra Romeo, Dakota Sinclair, Kaitliyn Grant and Leanna Restani.
This year’s ceremony included a new recognition: the Michelle Wink Memorial Scholarship, in memory of OCSD Athletic Trainer Michele Wink who passed away unexpectedly in April.

Selected by the family of Michelle Wink, the honor was presented to the catcher of the Oswego varsity softball team, Amber Tickle, who plans on going to college to become an athletic trainer herself.
The following students were presented with Oswego Classroom Teachers Association scholarships: Adeline Benjamin, Aleksandra Cummins, Claudia Chetney, Danielle DelConte, Emily Bradshaw, Grace Hibbert, Kaitlyn Grant, Liam Benjamin, Madison LeRoy, Matthew Mace, Benjamin McPerson, Nicklas Holland and Rose Huang.
Salutatorian Danielle DelConte and valedictorian Eleanor Lisec were presented medals by Principal Patrick Wallace, which they will wear during this year’s graduation ceremony.
