OSWEGO – During the month of November, 21 workshops will be offered in the Library Learning Center at the Oswego Public Library.

Lohnas will offer a four-part course once more on the Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher), as well as restarting the multi-part Introduction to Computer and Internet Basics classes.

These workshops have both been repeatedly requested by patrons.

The Microsoft Office classes will give patrons a sense of basic use of all four programs and what their capabilities are (primarily how they can be used for everyday tasks and projects).

The Introduction to Computer workshops will cover the different parts of the computer display, how to navigate the Internet, using the keyboard and mouse properly, and many other tips for computer beginners.

The Internet Basics classes go further into teaching patrons about how they can find different resources online, how they can keep themselves safe while surfing the Internet, and other ways to get to where they want to go on the World Wide Web.

Lohnas will continue to offer Tech Help Open Lab from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month.

They will be available on November 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, and 30.

Tech Help Open Lab will also be available on the 17th and 30th of the month as well from 10 a.m. -noon.
