OSWEGO, NY – Ashley Cowden, MSACN, a Usul Relki Master, who works for the Riverview Wellness Center, talked to the members of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary about nutrition.

The Wellness Center was opened in 2002 by Ashley’s mother.
At Thursday morning’s meeting, she told the Rotarians that “when we feel good we can be at our best.”
Poor nutrition can influence our health, feelings, emotions and sleeping.
She answered questions about the amount of water we need to drink.
She suggests we eat five small meals per day which include two snacks.
The food we eat should include complex healthy fats such as eggs, butter, nuts, meat and brown rice.
Processed wheat confuses the body because it has been so altered that our body can not process it.
Ashley also discussed supplements such as fish oil.
