Fulton, NY – In an effort to support the United Way Success By 6 “Stuff-A-Bus†campaign, area businesses will be selling paper buses to help raise money to purchase school supplies for students in Oswego County who are in need for the upcoming school year.
The United Way Success By 6 program is looking to “Stuff- A-Bus†with school supplies. “Every year, hundreds of children in Oswego County will enter school without the necessary school supplies and hundreds more will run out of the necessary supplies before the school year is over,†said Bonnie Holmes, Director of the United Way’s Success By 6 Program. “The goal of “Stuff-A- Bus†is to prepare children in Oswego County for a successful school year by ensuring they have the school supplies they need. Last year’s campaign served hundreds of children in Oswego County and we are hopeful to serve even more this year,†she added.
The money raised from selling the paper buses will go to purchase items that are less likely to be donated such as backpacks & scientific calculators.
Paper buses are available at the following businesses for a donation in support of the “Stuff -A- Bus†campaign.
– All Pathfinder Bank locations in Oswego County.
– Staples, Route 104 in Oswego.
– All 5 Key Bank locations in Oswego County.
“We are hoping to get even more companies and individuals involved in our “Stuff-A-Bus†campaign as we are looking to fill ten buses with school supplies this year,†added Holmes.
The United Way Success By 6 will have buses at ten convenient locations: Wal-Mart on Route 49 in Central Square; Wal-Mart on Route 104 in Oswego; Wal-Mart on Route 3 in Granby; Fulton Savings Bank in the Three Rivers Plaza on Route 57 in Phoenix; Kinney Drugs on Main Street in Mexico; Kinney Drugs on Route 13 in Pulaski; Staples on Route 104 in Oswego; The Hannibal Village Market IGA, Route 3 in Hannibal; Price Chopper on Route 104 in Oswego; and Price Chopper on West First Street in Fulton.
