Recently, Parents of Special Children, Inc. hosted itsr annual Jamboree Chicken BBQ fundraiser at the Hannibal American Legion.
The event was an amazing success, as they sold out of dinners within the first hour.

Along with a delicious meal, the families and community members enjoyed a variety of baked goods, door prizes, raffles, crafts and games.
There were more than 30 raffles, including an ipad, an ipad mini and a beautiful hand-made quilt. Rounding out the entertainment was a photo booth and a variety of fun dancing music.
“It was a terrific day where everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the food was out of this world,” said Theresa Familo, PSC executive director. “And the smiles, the laughs, the dancing, it’s all just priceless. It’s so exciting to see our community members and families all come together for a great cause.”
The staff and board of directors from PSC would like to thank all those who helped make this day possible, especially: Hannibal American Legion, Poor Folk’s Snowmobile Club, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Flack, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gilbert, the Hannibal IGA, Bach Photo Images and Proctor Entertainment and Event Services.
Proceeds from the event will help offset costs of future family-friendly events, such as a bowling party, ice cream social, Breakfast with Santa and sports and recreational activities.
