Performers and Artists Sought for Arts Fest

Performers and Artists have an opportunity to showcase their talents at the upcoming Arts Fest on the River in downtown Fulton, July 9 from noon to 7pm.
Hosted by Arts Partners as a benefit for CNY Arts Center, the Arts Fest will showcase performers – singers, dancers, comedians, poets, actors or musicians, groups or individuals – in an afternoon of local entertainment. Acts performing from 4-6pm will compete for prizes. Artists of any medium are also invited to display their art for show or sale to the public.
“We hope to draw from a wide variety of artists to provide a cross-segment of the wonderful artistic talent here in CNY,” said coordinator Nancy Fox. “It is our mission to deliver engaging art experiences to the community. Increasing opportunities to present artwork and talents in public is one of our goals.”
The new arts group in Fulton is raising funds and recruiting members to establish an Arts Center somewhere in the city that will have a positive impact on the community. “We believe the arts are critical to the future health and well-being of Fulton’s citizens, businesses and youth,” Fox continues. “We want to identify artists and performers, writers and craftspeople that are looking for a facility to practice and share their art. Raising funds to establish the foundation is a crucial first step in that process. “
