OSWEGO – Tom Briggs, popular Fulton School District educator and director is hot off his most recent production of “Anything Goes” for the G. Ray Bodley Quirk Players and into his next directorial role for the Oswego Players.

He is excited to announce open auditions on March 13, 14 from 6 -8 p.m. at the Frances Marion Brown Theater at the Civic Center of Oswego, Fort Ontario Park, Oswego/

He has picked a hilarious slapstick farce, by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, to bring to the Frances Marion Brown Stage April 26, 27, 28 and May 3, 4, 5.

So the story goes, this crazy comedy takes pre-wedding jitters to nightmare proportions as this finely-tuned exercise in physical comedy zips from one hilarious situation to the next as all the wedding participants try to hide their exploits and make it to the church on time.

Briggs is looking to cast seven men and four females in this madcap romp that include:

Walter, the Groom, Wendy, the Bride, Claudia, the Bridesmaid, Mitch, the Best Man, Lainie Berman, the Singer, Noel, the Wedding Coordinator, Mr. Kirschenbaum, Father of the Bride, Mrs. Kirschenbaum, Mother of the Bride, Rabbi Huchelman, the Rabbi of course, Vinnie, the Uninvited Guest, and Eddie, the Wedding Photographer.

So here’s your chance to do a little acting, make a few people laugh and just have a lot of fun along the way.

There’s no need to prepare, just come on over to the theater on March 13 at 6 p.m. and play.
