CNY – Children will have plenty to do while enjoying the food, music and cultures of the world at the International Taste Festival, April 1 in the Center of Progress Building at the New York State Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Admission is $5 by advance sale through March 31 and $10 during the event at the door or online. Children age 10 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available here[1]. USA Today recently named the event one of the 20 best city food festivals[2] in America.
The Kids Zone will feature free face painting as well as a balloon artist. Youngsters will also be able to interact with mascots, provided by sponsor Larger Than Life Comics. They’ll also be able to see children like themselves in performances from groups such as ODESA Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Agape Black Belt Center and other groups.
Some vendors will offer toys for sale and for those youngsters not accustomed to the foods of the world, the non-profit Clear Path For Veterans will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers and other kid-friendly foods for $2.
“We’ve worked hard to create a festival that’s fun for all ages while meeting our goal of celebrating the cultures of the world. This is a festival that any family can attend and enjoy,” said Stephanie Pestillo, festival organizer.
