FULTON, NY – POMCO has presented a check for $1,000 to Oswego County Opportunities in support of the agency’s annual bowling tournament fundraiser.
POMCO Group, one of the nation’s largest third-party administrators for self-funded health plans, is a “Building Dreams” sponsor of this year’s OCO “Retro Bowl.”

This is the 13th consecutive bowling tournament fundraiser held by Oswego County Opportunities.
Retro Bowl takes place on Saturday at Lakeview Lanes.
Proceeds will be used to help alleviate hunger in Oswego County.
“The ‘Retro Bowl’ theme combines the fun of looking back at the music, the hairstyles, the fashions and fads while remembering all that OCO has accomplished since its beginnings in March 1966,” said Diane Cooper-Currier, OCO’s executive director. “What started out as a small non-profit, has grown into a diverse community action agency providing more than 50 programs and services that touch lives from before birth well into maturity. OCO is proud to be part of this community, and we’re proud to partner with companies like POMCO to make a difference in the lives of more than 20,000 individuals each year.”
The OCO Retro Bowl takes place from noon – 6 p.m.
Openings remain for five-person teams, with choice of flights: noon – 2:30 p.m. or 3 – 5:30 p.m. (first come, first served).
Team registration is $100.
Businesses and individuals are invited to donate door prizes for the raffles and silent auction, and major sponsors are being solicited as well.
In addition to support for existing services, OCO will set aside a percentage of the Retro Bowl proceeds to build financial resources for the future.
“As the community action agency for Oswego County, we strongly support and assist with efforts to fight hunger, because it aligns perfectly with OCO’s mission,” Cooper-Currier said.
