Fulton Sunrise Rotarians welcomed Herb Jerred of Fulton, author of eight books, including “88 Steps,” about the Jewish refugees housed at Fort Ontario during World War II and “Birdy,” a history of Fulton in novel form. Jerred said his books grew out of a love of reading, writing and history. Jerred is shown with Sunrise Rotary Club President Marianne Ingerson, who is at left, and his wife, Rotarian Cindy Jerred, at right with a selection of his books. Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Mimi’s Drive-In and can be followed at https://www.facebook.com/fultonsunriserotaryclub/[1].
