HANNIBAL – The motto in Hannibal schools is “Purple Pride is Districtwide.”

That phrase took on a dual meaning during the month of October.
The color purple symbolizes National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Hannibal school community donned purple outfits Oct. 22 to help bring attention to the issue.
The effort was spearheaded by Jamie Drake, who works with students in the district to provide education and intervention services regarding domestic violence.
