NEW PALTZ, NY – Rachael Purtell of Minetto, is on the women’s soccer team for the 2017 season.
First-year coach Mike Eckberg will help guide the Hawks to a bounce-back season after they finished 1-15-2 last fall.
However, his focus this year is not necessarily on wins and losses, but level of play throughout games, practices and training.
“Ideally, I think what we want to focus on as much as possible is creating the best process and not be so driven or focused on results, but focus on what we can control in training, focus on what we can control in the weight room and focus on our controls,” Eckberg said.
