SUNY Oswego’s Rice Creek Field Station will partner with the local Girl Scout council from noon to 3 p.m. April 2 to provide walking tours and access to all the facilities of the forever-wild property.
All troops or individual girls and adults, as well as their family and friends, are welcome to register by March 28 for the free event.
Daisy, Brownie, Junior,Cadette, Senior, Ambassador levels are encouraged to attend.
Each participant will receive a designated time to enjoy a half-hour guided walk, along with enjoying an indoor question-and-answer session. The girls and adults are encouraged to enjoy the displays inside the field station and the multitude of trails through the nearly 400 acres of Rice Creek, along with picnicking in the pavilion.
Rice Creek Field Station is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Troops are welcome to spend the whole day on site.
