OSWEGO, NY – Paul Conzone, of the Oswego City Fire Department, visited Bridgette Krawczyk’s first grade classroom to talk about fire safety and prevention.
The youngsters practiced stop, drop and roll, crawling under smoke and learned about reminding parents to change batteries in smoke detectors.
Many students were sent home with homework for their families to find out where the family meeting place is in the event of a fire.
