Volney Elementary School students earned recognition during a recent assembly for their positive behavior throughout the year and for being role models to their peers.

Raffle prizes such as gift certificates, toys, Thunder Island passes and bicycles were awarded to the dozens of students who adhered to the district’s behavioral expectations and completed the school year referral-free.
Principal Lisa Garofolo congratulated the children and applauded them for their efforts.
In addition to the prizes, Garofolo also presented the June awards for students who went above and beyond to display the monthly character trait of citizenship.

The monthly classroom role models were: Kyler DiRenzo, Saige Conger, Aidan Greeney, Wyatt Pastorell, Danielle Boyce, Emma Kerfien, Sawyer Clark, Addison Pickard, Evan Zimmerman, Kendall Williamson, Huntter Clark, Noah Cordone, Summer-Rae Kennedy, Anthony Bennett, Nicholas Miceli, Rachel Rowlee, James Salisbury, Noah Smith, Mary Jerred and Nicholas Vant.
Monthly On-a-Roll Model certificates were awarded to Faith Cobb, Claire Murray, Warren Clark, Solange Catano-Matip, Caleb Clark, Ian Dygert, Tyler Goutermout-Reynolds, Aidan Baldwin, Madison Baum, Maria Wood, Joann LeVea, Lydia Gigliotti, Josiah Clark, Alaina Reynolds, Chris Boiko, Sam Thompson, Ella Henderson, Eliza Bishop, Thomas Smith, Breanna Kimber, Alexander Dedich and Destiny Newton.
