FULTON, NY – Jeffrey Wagner, utility consumer program specialist, Office of Consumer Policy, State of New York, was the speaker at a recent Fulton Noon Rotary Club meeting.
Jeff works in the Syracuse office for the Public Service Commission and deals with consumer issues throughout Central New York.

He pointed out how important it is to read and understand all of the charges on our utility bills, especially gas and electric, cable and satellite television, telephone and other wireless devices.
If you find charges that you do not understand or are paying for items on a utility bill that you did not order, you should contact the company.
If there is no relief from the company, than contact the Consumer Affairs office.
One interesting point that Jeff made was in the age of non regulation with utility companies, your supplier was the lowest price in 80% of the cases.
Jeff was introduced to the Rotarians by President Gerald Seguin.
