Director of Oswego Festivals, Peter Myles, was a guest at Oswego Rotary recently.

He gave a presentation on the history of Harborfest and a rundown of this year’s performers, park activities and need for volunteers.

Myles is no stranger to Oswego.

He was a teacher and administrator at Oswego High School for 27 years.

Myles taught biology, was a house principal and the executive principal.

The last several years he was the director of personnel and human resources.

Myles gave a rundown on the major performers this year – Blues Traveler – Thursday, opening night; Dennis DeYoung from the band Styx – Friday and of course the world famous Grucci Fireworks Saturday evening.

Our city will be abuzz with vendors, shows and a wide variety of activities during the four-day festival.
