FULTON, NY -Rotarian Nancy Kush Ellis introduced Jim D’Angelo from the Sterling Nature Center.

The center is located on the shore of Lake Ontario, where 1,400 acres of wetlands, woodlands and meadows are bordered by two miles of undeveloped lakeshore, Sterling Creek and Nine Mile Creek.
The center is just across the Oswego County line in Cayuga County.
It was established in 1997.
The center is open every day from dawn to dusk and has more than five miles of nature trails for hiking, cross-country skiing or just enjoying nature.
It operates with just two part-time employees, with D’Angelo being one.
There are special events planned year round.
One of the favorite events is the heron rookery guided tour.
It is beautiful place to visit when you want to enjoy our Central New York nature.
