FULTON, NY – Rotarian Bill Grace introduced Nancy Fox, president of the CNY Arts Center of Fulton, at a recent Noon Rotary meeting.

Nancy  thanked the Noon Rotary for the donation to the “Break Into Writing Program” for students age 10-14 and hosted by Jim Farfaglia.

With the donation, the CNY Arts Center was able to offer two scholarships to the Farfaglia program.

Nancy reminded all that one of the goals of CNY Arts Center is to be able to bring “art” in whatever form to those in the Fulton Community who may not be able to afford it.

Nancy informed the Rotarians that it was just about a year ago that the group began work on putting together the “Fulton Arts Fest” with 14 artists, some music and  food vendors.

Now in just one year’s time, the organization has grown to more than 150 members.

The group has obtained non-profit status and has an eight-member board of directors.

Nancy and her board of directors are still looking for a building to house the “arts.”

Even without a site to call home, the members meet each Monday at 6:30 p.m. (all are welcome to attend) at the Alliance Church in Fulton.
