FULTON, NY – At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Dan Farfaglia introduced Dr. Jiancheng Huang, director of Oswego County Health Department.

Dr. Huang presented an engaging powerpoint and discussion of diseases spread by insects and animals in the wild.
These included EEE, West Nile Virus, rabies and lyme disease.
He made a very important point that it is crucial to focus on prevention of these diseases.
The Health Department works hard to study and control the population of pests and rabid animals.
But, education is key to helping people understand and protect themselves.
The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Fulton’s Riverside Inn.
