OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Rotary Club member George DeMass recently spoke to membership about the Safe Haven Museum.

DeMass talked about a new book about Eleanor Roosevelt, Volume 3, that references her efforts to bring refugees to Fort Ontario for shelter during World War II.
The refugees arrived August 1944 and remained until February 1946.
982 ‘guests’ of President Roosevelt called Fort Ontario home.
The museum is open to the public.
