Safety efforts earn Mexico Academy and Central Schools Excellence Award

Mexico Academy and Central Schools was presented with the 2012 School Safety Excellence Award from the Utica National Insurance Group.
MACS was evaluated on 168 health and safety criterion and earned the highest level of distinction, the titanium award, from the Utica National School Safety Excellence Awards Program.
Accepting the award on behalf of the school district from Utica National Senior Risk Management Representative Connie Wallis, left, at a safety seminar in Syracuse on March 27 is Business Official Alicia Koster, middle, and High School Principal Donald Root.
