Sandy Creek Elementary School students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade held their holiday concert recently where family, friends and community members were treated to a wonderful and entertaining seasonal delight.
The concert was held in the full high school gymnasium due to the large number of audience members who attend.

The students, dressed in their festive holiday dress, performed a wide variety of songs including traditional favorites and several hilarious songs including one where second graders along with Principal Sue Ann Archibee asked for some pretty unique options for gifts including a submarine, a rhino, a lobster and more.
Another funny song about re-gifting fruitcakes, ended with fourth graders gifting audience members with the holiday sweet treat.

The third graders have been studying other holiday traditions and cultures from around the world and their songs reflected this diversity in celebrations.
The fifth graders continued with the non-traditional including a Native American carol with drums and recorders, and their final song blended traditional with cultural diversity in “O Christmas Tree” sung in both English and Spanish.
